About Dr. Bob Ireland
Dr. Ireland has devoted his life to the service of others and is a leader within the non-profit field. As the President & CEO of Bello Machre—a position he has held for over 45 years—he played a pivotal role in building the organization from the ground up. Under his guidance, Bello Machre has grown into a beacon of hope and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, reflecting his devoted compassion and commitment to improving lives.
In addition to his longstanding contributions to Bello Machre, Dr. Ireland is a nationally recognized trainer and consultant, delivering workshops to over 100,000 frontline managers across the country. Locally, he brings his expertise to the Human Services Advisory Board at Anne Arundel Community College, supporting the development of the next generation of human service professionals.
In 2024, Bello Machre celebrated Dr. Ireland’s extraordinary legacy by naming a newly renovated building the Dr. Robert T. Ireland Building—a testament to his lifetime of dedication to the human services field.
